About NVPOM

Mission Statement: To provide support, education, and community to parents of multiples.
 

Who We Are

We are a group member families from Washington D.C. and the Northern Virginia area, including Arlington, Alexandria, Falls Church, Fairfax, Vienna, McLean, Reston, Springfield, Annandale, and other locations.

The purpose of NVPOM is to broaden the understanding of those aspects of child development and rearing, which relate especially to multiples. We accomplish this through:

• The interchange of information between parents, educators, doctors, and others with interestand appropriate experience;
• Various social activities during which NVPOM members share their experiences and concerns rearing multiples;
• Assisting members and other families with multiples, and
• Engaging in charitable efforts.

We offer opportunities to receive support and advice as you complete your multiples pregnancy and begin the journey of parenthood to twins, triplets, or more.

Whether you’re a new parent or have years of experience and wisdom to share, we welcome you to join our community!

You’ll be able to find answers to your questions from parents who have “been there, done that” on our private online forums: safe, non-judgmental discussion spaces where you can share the many frustrations unique to raising multiples, seek or provide advice, and receive support and cheer for your accomplishments.

Raising multiples is much more fun when you know you’re not alone!

We sponsor two children’s clothing and equipment sales each year. You can find great deals at these HUGE consignment and vendor sales, and members can make some extra cash by selling gently used items.
